uBlock Origin?
Right now we're mostly choosing to "Imitate Tor Browser" as much as possible on regular Firefox. That's good up to the point that it's difficult to know exactly what the state of the art in browser fingerprinting is at any given time. However, it also begins to bind us to their decision making when we have an opportunity to try something that might work better for us. Case in point is that Tor Browser, somewhat paradoxically, doesn't try to block "tracking" in the form of Advertising networks on the grounds that it may make users stand out or may break web sites. We're not primarily trying to provide access to clearnet websites that can easily make use of such tracking in any case, we're trying to make it easier and safer to access the anonymous peer-to-peer web inside of I2P. In light of that, does it make any sense to connect to clearnet trackers over an I2P outproxy? Very little, in my opinion. Adding uBlock Origin to the standard browser configuration would proactively disable common clearnet trackers when browsing within I2P, reducing attack surface for users browsing the anonymous web and reducing unnecessary or malicious load on outproxies. If it were done, it would have to be made part of the recommended Firefox profile in order to not produce additional granularity in the browser fingerprints of users(i.e. some uBlock, some not-uBlock)
